Wasting Master Ball

I never spoilt a masterball but I did the opposite the first time I played Heart Gold. I once tried to catch Ho-oh without a masterball and I failed miserably. I had to restart my game and I lost an hour but ey at least this time I used my masterball and it served it's purpose perfectly fine.

The worst thing I used my master ball on was abra, I wanted to catch one but i had no choice, But then I realized I never needed one so I made a big mistake, Pokemon FireRed

The first pokemon game I played was leafgreen and I had no idea what I was doing. The only legendary I caught was Articuno with the masterball. Not really a waste but I found that Articuno really special.

It was great day in the world of Pokemon, when all of a sudden GamerGoldFish incountered a Magikarp! GamerGoldFish wanted the Magikarp, so he could raise a healthy Gyrados! But then, everything changed.
Instead of tapping the Ultra Ball, GamerGoldFish tapped the Master Ball!!!
GamerGoldFish got his wish, he raised a nice and healthy Gyrados, but all the while waisting his priceless Master Ball...
The end...

I am very glad I didn't. My first time I used it was on a Rayquaza on Emerald. I was really happy so it was definitely worth it! :)

Haha.... I wasted once on a Gengar with very low health and who was in sleep. I thought of restarting the game but it was too late. But after that I never did the same mistake. :)

Ohoho how I've wasted Master Balls when I was still a Pokemon (and gaming) noob. I remember playing Fire Red at one point trying to catch Moltres, where the young and naive me thought "Oh boy it's a legendary, it must need a Master Ball!" while I still had other Poke Balls.
While that's somewhat justifiable in it being a legendary (even if not much of one), during another playthrough I was fighting one of the Snorlaxes and I thought "It's really rare! I should use my Master Ball! What else could I need it for!?" Again, while I still had other Poke Balls... :banghead:

I waste my masterball on a rare zoroark. Yeqh think that so funny for me whem rmind that again.after catching it I think I will not able to catch it again but vey sad for me can find it back at the pokemon village .frustrating huh. Ops sorry i play pokemon x back then

I wasted my Master ball by accident. I was trying to get press an Ultra ball to catch a Magcargo. I pressed the Master ball instead and screamed my head off. Luckily I caught my Raquaza with an Ultra ball.

I caught snorlax with a master ball in pkmn yellow

waited it on a legendary instead of using it on those pokemon that escape on silver version didnt know about them at the time and i know to save it for those reasons now

In Firered, I caught a Mankey using a Masterball...
I was young and liked Mankey...

I wasted a Master Ball in X - I used it on Xerneas. I thought it would be romantic to catch the 'ultimate Pokemon in the game' as I thought of him (he was on the cover and all!) using the Master Ball. Later on, upon learning just how rare and useful Master Balls are, I felt incredibly stupid. But still, it was good for the story.

Don't worry, I assume this was your first Pokémon game (main series) you've played, so, no need to feel bad about, as I suppose we all wasted our 1st Master Ball on our first "main" legendary (You know, those Pokémon who appear on the cover; of course, Gen 1 being an exception since only Mewtwo was the main legendary).

I used a Masterball on Xerneas too, I don't see why it's a waste. After you upgrade your catch O-power to level 3, every ultraball can be a pseudomasterball anyway.

It actually wasn't my first, FireRed on the GBA was my first real Pokemon game, but I was a really little kid back then and didn't have Internet so I wasn't part of any Pokemon community and didn't even really get it, I got up to Misty's gym and lost because I didn't even know Fire types were useless against Water. So I didn't beat it, and now I think back on it it's kind of heartbreaking.

I also played some Pokemon Diamond on the DS, but didn't get very far in it.

But yeah, this was the first time I played a Pokemon game properly with a community and knowledge of types and moves and everything. Thanks for the moral support :playful: I'll make sure to do well with my Master Ball in the future.

Way back when I was a kid, I finally completed the league and had my master ball. I was going through viridian forest when a pikachu appeared. I was CRAZY for pikachu as it was (and still is) my favourite. I used my master ball :/

In any other game, I have never used my master ball cuz I thought it is worth saving it.
