Thread topic. I've been hearing about Club Nintendo and the rewards you get, but I honestly don't know much about it lol

Go to the Nintendo site and click on Club Nintendo. Once you get there it's pretty easy to figure out.

ok then lol....so basically it's just "make an account and you get all this exclusive stuff" then?

Yes. But there's nothing good there. At least not on the North American one.

Well that sucks. I guess I won't choose to waste my time making an account on that then xD I mean, if there's nothing of worth there...

Sometimes there is. I like the ones you get when you hit gold status. Free stuff at the end of the year. :3

lol but to get gold status you'd probably have to buy a lot of games though....so it isn't necessarily "free" if you think about it :p

Indeed. Nothing is free. But I find it fun. Spending all of that money for a little something...haha. It's a plus since I'll already be buying the games.

yeah, if you're already buying the games THEN it's kinda free. If it's a case of buying all the games just to get the free stuff, then it's different

yeah, I guess. And I suppose the free stuff is just to give an excuse to buy so much anyway lol It's effective marketing in a way :p

Club Nintendo is actually good. I'm almost to gold-just 80 coins to go :D and it pays off if you get Nintendo games often. Even Platinum status is hard but payed off since it has good prizes at the end of June (you get to pick one)

Well, the same goes for PlayStation Plus...
You get games for free, but you need to pay the service :p

With just eShop and Virtual Consoles games I will be happy (also discounts)

I guess it's all a matter of personal preference as to whether or not the free games are good lol What I don't like is that some of the Wii VC deals aren't offered for 3DS (example: Link to the Past offer that ends early December)

I like the entire Club Nintendo idea, its great way of Nintendo saying thank you to their valued customers, @naagza if you have or plan to get some Nintendo products you should join, not all the prizes are 100% great but it's free I mean who doesn't like free stuff, when you do sign up and you plan to download games link your 3DS to your Club Nintendo account, here is a list of the games that you can gain Club Nintendo coins for, click here to see the list. I had up to 900 coins so far.

Well, if I ever find the 3DS XL code I have, I may consider getting one. Will Nintendo ever care if I don't put in my legit personal info on that thing lol

Not really just put your address/shipping information legit, you won't want your rewards shipping to someone else right, also this is a heads up, I see people getting banned on the Club Nintendo lately so don't try no funny stuff (not that I am expecting you to do any funny stuff), it would suck to get banned on Club Nintendo.

ehhh I don't feel very comfortable giving personal info to Nintendo like address and all (even if it is for rewards), so I might not actually go with this.
