It was actually my ds. I bought a ds for my 9th birthday, and pokemon diamond was on display next to the console. The "pet" (that's how i first called dialga) on the cover got me excited and I ended up buying it with the console (and nintendogs as well lol)

I don't quite remember, it could have either been my brother or my dad who both had a copy of Pokemon Red/Blue on the Game Boy, or it could have been this commercial

Well my mom got me into Pokemon because she thought it would be a game I would like to play and it was. The first Pokemon game I got was Pokemon black because I thought I would get zekrom but I didn't :(. Now I decide to get Pokemon on my own free will all thanks to my mom.

All of my friends played Pokemon back in primary school. When I turned 12 I finally decided to give Pokemon Diamond a shot. I was never the same since, that game changed my perspective on adorable animals, video games, and life. It was such an amazing experience to me, setting out on an adventure and then catching my first Pokemon, whom I believed I nicknamed Wombaf. Good times.
7 years later and I still really love the series. :D

I played Pokemon emerald on a gameboy and I loved that game that's what got me to become a Pokemon fan. Then I watched the anime and I like it even more. Now I have played all the Pokemon games. After that I bought the Pokemon cards and also now I have lots of the Pokemon cards.

getting me into pokemon was actually thanks to my cousin Justin, he was playing pokemon diamond at the time and let me try it out, he even showed me a mystery dungeon game that made me like them even more so I just wanted to play it in the end. after I started playing at some point in high school some guy was playing pokemon pearl I think at school, I no long had it because I sold it to get a new game but only got money due to not having enough to buy, anyways then one of the two boys saw me and asked why I was looking while the other told me to leave because 'pokemon wasn't a game for girls' which made me reply 'then if it wasn't a game for girls then why did they had a female character to play as in them?' which made them shut up and get back to what they were doing.

in the end I play them because I want to show the world that girls can play these games too and not just those boys like back when I was younger

T'was my mother and I thank her for it everyday. For my, I wannna say 6th, but it could be any year btw 6 and 9, -th birthday she got me a lime green Gameboy Color and a copy of Pokemon Yellow: The Special Pikachu Edition. Not if it's the same game as Yellow, but yea, anyway. That's how it happened and my Poke-love has carried on through the years. After the 3rd gen games, I tried to convince myself that I was too old for pokemon and I needed to give it up. Didn't work tho. I was in a game shop, saw a cheap copy of Pokemon Soul Silver and Diamond, and I was sucked right back in. Now here I am, waiting on Pokemon Sun. I'll be playing Pokemon 'till I'm 70 and there are 2 mil pokes. :hilarious:

Pokemon Silver/Gold were my favorite games back then. I loved the cellphone feature. How you could call your friends and they could call you. That one feature of the games sticks out in my memory of pokemon. ^_^

Gen 4 was the start for me. I found sinnoh to be a very well done region, and Platinum to be a very well executed game. Unova brought me back as well, even though people didn't seem to like gen 5.

When I was just a few years old, my mother was at a store and saw some VHS tapes on sale. A few of those tapes were episodes from the original Pokemon anime. The rest was history. ♥

Well I was given my 1st hand held (gameboy color) from my mom and stepfather . They picked out a game and unless your parents know what types of games you like know things about games I 'd say don't let parents pick out games for you lol. Once I got a job and got my 1st paycheck I saw it as a good time for me to get some thing I've missed out on while growing up so my 1st think I bought was pokemon yellow cause I saw some things on it and it really interested me . So I guess you can say I bought it off of being a pure gut gamer and I was tired of playing men in black on game boy color as my only game for it.

I first go into Pokemon when by youngest brother got Pokemon Blue version for Christmas form Santa when I was 13. I would "borrow" it whenever I got the chance and play for as long as I could. Then my Mom saw how much fun the game was and she joined us with Pokemon Red. I eventually ended up saving money to buy Pokemon Yellow. Pokemon Yellow Pikachu edition was the first video game I saved for and wasn't gifted with. Ah, nostalgia.

I've been playing Pokemon for a very long time. I even wore out the screen on my original GAMEBOY. I also, had to save money again to upgrade to the Lime Green GAMEBOY Color, albeit a used one, but hey it worked. I also, bought Pokemon Gold and Silver that following fall in October I think it was... Anyway I have played Pokemon from the beginning and have always been a fan of the main video game series.
