Ayros was on his feet now, sizing up his opponent when, suddenly, he felt the sting of a beer bottle crashing against his back.
"Not again," he sighed. Picking out beer-bottle shards from your own back is the toughest thing you can do.
But now wasn't the time for that. With one swift kick, he knocked the bottle-thrower over the countertop and knocked the gunman out with a knee to the face (he was bending to retrieve his gun-the bottle was a poor distraction).
He walked over to Lara and snatched the $20 out of her hand. He then walked to the countertop and said,
"Get me three of whatever that guy hit me with."
