Do You Want The "New" Nintendo 3DS/XL?

I dunno. I want to get it, but at the same time they screwed me over, since I have an XL, and it's been nearly 2 years since I got it, and I kind of wanted a Wii U. ow I've got to rethink that if I want to play Pokémoon games in the future, as I'd rather have a 3DS than a Wii U.

Eventually I will get it, but eh.

Well, my 3DS has been looking a bit... iffy, in regards to its overall condition... So, I guess, since I've been looking to get a replacement for a while now, the N3DS will fill that spot nicely. I'm just sad that I won't be able to get any of the limited 3DSxl's that I've been wanting to buy in the meantime, since I'll just be getting the N3DS instead... I suppose I could wait for a limited edition version of the N3DS before making a purchase... or Faceplate, whatever. :)

I want the New 3DS so badly. My aqua blue launch system is slowly dying. Since the 3DS is my main system, I have to get a replacement as fast as possible. I just wished we got the New 3DS this year, instead of waiting. I can't wait to buy a few of those snazzy face plates with the white New 3DS. The little bit larger screens, the white color , faster download times, games, and better 3D viewing angle are all reasons I must get one.

I really want the new nintendo 3ds system , of course because all the new cpu ,perfomance, alao the analog button which has been added to it.my 2ds console has a problem especially when it come to closing a game very slow..hoping for the N3DS is better than the old one.

I'm getting it this November :D

I'll get one because it has the internet browser I've always dreamed about and because the C-stick will be compatible with SSB4 3DS.

Of course I want it! :) But do I need it.... no. Though I don't like the idea of 'feeding' Nintendo by buying this New 3DS, encouraging them, thinking it was a good thing to do (making us 3DS owners upgrade). I'm still unpleased with the New 3DS' announcement. But it looks pretty cool, especially that C-Stick and extra "L & R buttons", so yeah, I want it. Doubt I'll get it anytime soon, I'll stick with my XL for the mean time...

Probably when I do get the New 3DS, Nintendo would announced a Newer 3DS >.>

I really really want it. But the problem is i don't have enough money for now to buy that. And my 3ds xl is only 4 months old. I am planning to sell it to a friend or online so that i can afford to buy the new 3ds.

Won't a New 3DS cost around $149.99 and the XL model cost $179.99?

That's definitely a yes. While I mainly want it for the Xenoblade Chronicles port, I like all of the other features it's demonstrated.

That said, I have no idea when I'll be able to get it, but considering I'm not really interested in the Wii U at the moment it'll probably be before I get one.

Honestly I don't. I know the new features and everything make it a better handheld system to own but I felt cheated by Nintendo when they anounced this console with new content and exclusive games!! Oh my god! I was actually out of my mind and wanted to cry a river, but then I made up my mind and say ok, I am not going to get right now, maybe in the future if it lows the price...

I do and I don't.

Do I want a more powerful system that can play a wider variety of games? Yes I do.

But I don't want to buy the N3DS for a two reasons.

1.) I think the system is hideous. I'm sorry, but I think it's a bigger eyesore than the 2DS. I don't like the button placement, stylus placement, or cartridge placement. I think that the 3DS XL has the best layout, tbh. I love my original 3DS but I agree that my systems button placements aren't good, but I prefer them over the new 3DS (though I really dislike my start/select/home buttons. I don't mind my stylus placement but I can see how having it on the side like what the XL does could be better. I've never played a game where I needed to whip out my stylus super quick) plus I am one of those people that actually enjoys the glossiness of my original 3DS lol. I know a lot of people don't but I don't like the matte finish the XL and N3DS have. I think the faceplates might be cool though. Have Kirby on my N3DS would be snazzy.

2.) I am one of those people who think that this was a total jerk move by Nintendo. I've owned my system since it's first price drop (so pretty early but not early enough to be an ambassador) and it still works wonderfully. Aside from a few small scratches on the outside from when I've dropped it it still looks brand new too. I have no reason to buy the N3DS because mine still works fabulously. It would be a waste for me to buy a brand new 3DS when there is nothing wrong with mine, except for it's inability to play nintendo's new exclusive games (I really don't care for the c-stick, I'm a casual gamer and chances are I won't have a use for it given the games I play)

I think the only thing that'll persuade me to get it is if they end up releasing a bunch of exclusives that I really want. For now that's not an issue. I've never played Xenoblade so if I want to try it I'll just get the Wii version. Or if my 3DS breaks or gets lost - then I'll just upgrade to the N3DS instead of buying an old system. For now though, I still love my original 3DS in pearl pink. It plays the games I want to play just fine and I like the way it looks. The only annoyance is trying to play the GB HM games I have because I have I press the start and select buttons. >~>

stuff the new 3DS. I hate when they do that, you save $200 and they bring out a "New" one. stuff that.

Nope, I already have my 3DS and I don't really see any point in getting more L R buttons. Though I really love how they improved the 3D feature.
I believe that nintendo can improve this better (the resolution and new features)
I won't be buying a new console until then (except if I can get it for free lol).

everyone wants it, but maybe they cant afford it. i want one, but im probably not gonna get it.. unless it gets a lot of more exclusive content

Not really but if I didn't had a 3ds then yes ,I admit the new 3ds is cool and all but any 3ds is good for me and I can live with that. There isn't much difference and if there is,it wasn't really necessary.

Hmm from what I can see it looks like some sort of rip-off £305 on Amazon? No way am I paying that, gawd even the wii u was cheaper than that when it first came out from what I believe.

  • #39
Not really. The only thing that stands out is the new 3d eye tracking. But in the end not really seeing anything in it.

Nah, I think I should stick to the regular one for now.If I ever plan to buy another 3ds and the new one has been released for North America, then maybe I will plan to take it. But for now, no. I will stick to my normal Nintendo 3ds xl :):):)
