Moon/Sun Pokemon Sun and Moon Announced (Discussion Thread)

The legendaries could potentially be based off the Japanese gods Amaterasu (Sun goddess) and Tsukiyomi (Moon god) and if there's a third legendary, it could possibly be based off Susanoo (God of sea and storms, brother of Amaterasu and Tsukiyomi).

Uciha clan will be in Pokemon Sun and Pokemon Moon it seems xD I'm joking

Where did you get the idea of 6.5 gen? that doesn't even make sense. I don't think there have been decimals in previous gens either. xD

It's most likely to be 7th gen. I've been ready and waiting for a new gen for so long now. The hype is real!

aaand they let you transfer from Red, Blue and Yellow only to this new games

Generation 6.5 makes no sense to be honest, Generation 7.0 is much better Sun and moon will most likely be sequels to x and y since there are actually some items shown in the 5 minute nintendo pokemon direct with some items that are from x and y, So sun and moon will most likely connect to x and y in some way story wise.

I know this is not going to happen only when they'll make Jhoto remakes for 3ds but what I really wanna see again in pokemon games are Kurt's pokeballs ...they were so awesome
and bring the GS ball back ....I know in manga was a Celebi in it but show us in the anime too

The new Pokemon Center looks sweet. I also support the new "Mega Evolution" theory. Having a moon and a sun Pokemon as "story legendary Pokemon", I wonder if there will be a "higher" Pokemon like Rayquaza in it and what it would be like.

That's a whole lot of cars! We haven't see so many cars in Pokémon yet, let alone all those different ones. I really REALLYhope they bring back character customisation. I know they didn't want to since they thought it belonged to X and Y but I really liked having a personally styled trainer. The Mansion looks so pretty! *-*

This is fake, the game is still in development and for legit use would need to be updated probably in eshop just like ORAS or XY especially if you want to use the online features, and there is nothing on eshop, even if its true which there is very small chance for that to happen someone would have big problems with nintendo, dont trust anything the only trust worthy news you can get are on corocoro the japanese magazine.

In my opinion I think that it's gonna be based around Japan/ that area. My reasoning behind this is because look at Yo-Kai Watch in Japan it has flooded Pokemon and guess what it was based in Japan. Also I think that the sun and moon part is gonna be based on Amaterasu and Tsukiyomi, the story goes that Amaterasu and Tsukiyomi loved each other ( they were 2 of3 siblings there was nothing better at the time) they got married and lived happily in their heaven like space in the sky. One day Amaterasu gets invited to go to a feast (can't remember food goddess name) by the food goddess however Amaterasu couldn't go so Tsukiyomi went in her stead. The food goddess made beautiful food to eat and everything looked delicious, everything was fine until Tsukiyomi saw the way the food was prepared. In a sense the food goddess barfed up the food she made. In Shinto (where all this came from (Japanese roots see)) cleanliness is a big thing and Tsukiyomi found this disgusting so he killed her. Amaterasu was so shocked and ashamed that she banished him from their heavan like space because they lived together the sun always canceled out the moon leaving it always day (Amaterasu is sun and Tsukiyomi is moon even more relations) when Tsukiyomi was banished to his own place darkness was able to come into the world essentially becoming our day and night system. The reason I bring this up is because I think it will revolve around this myth one way or another. What do you guys think? Any corrections? Reasons I could be wrong? Reasons I could be right?

Actually, streetpass isn't an online feature. All this picture shows is that the last software this person used was named Pokémon Sun. That might very well be a bèta version. (Obviously it isn't in the eShop but developers do test their software, you know.) All the software needs to be streetpassed is a name and a logo, both of which already exist.

I knew about the ability to transfer with Pokébank but those memes below... I guess I want some of those Pokémon! Those are absolute killers. (...Though they'll probably be banned for most tournaments anyway )

I was thinking maybe the Kairriky [Machamp] send from gen 1 will be locked on the ability Guts so it won't kill everything
just like that....or who knows what will they do with them

Why only flying type? It is only useless against Flying type in Pokémon Stadium.In all other games it will still affect them.

It depends how good the AR is. If Pokémon Go has fantasic AR I am really excited otherwise it's a meh.
