It's a single style elimination tournament. You will get an opponent to battle and if the battle doesn't take place before a given timeframe, a coin flip will decide the winner.

1st Place: 100 Play Coins + free request at the Pedia Emporium
2nd Place: 80 Play Coins + free "Icon B4 Username" request at the Pedia Emporium
3rd Place: 50 Play Coins + free rainbow color username at the Pedia Emporium​

Tournament rules :​

- ONLY Pokemon that can be hatched are allowed. Pokemon MUST be hatched or caught in X/Y/ORAS.
- The moves belly drum (new), baton pass, swagger and sticky web are not allowed.
- Two or more Pokemon must not be holding the same item's name in your party ("leftovers" item is fine tho). For example, you should not have a Pikachu holding life orb and a Flygon holding life orb.
- You can only use a stat boosting move once while the Pokemon is out (new).
- If your opponent has X/Y, you cannot use ORAS exclusive mega stones (otherwise you'll get an error).
- When signing up, you must choose ONE Pokemon as your battle buddy. If your battle buddy faints during a battle, you automatically lose the battle. You're free to switch up teams, however, a battle buddy is permanent.
- You have 6 days to finish up your battle for the first round. A coin flip will randomly decide the winner of a match if both players have not finished their battle when time runs out.

Other rules :

• Endless Battle Clause: Any moveset on any Pokémon that is capable of intentionally causing an endless battle is banned from competitive play. Thus:
  • A Pokémon may not carry Recycle and hold a Leppa Berry in conjunction with Heal Pulse and Milk Drink, Moonlight, Morning Sun, Recover, Roost, Slack Off, Soft-Boiled, or Wish.
  • A Pokémon may not hold a Leppa Berry and carry Recycle and Pain Split on its moveset.
  • A Pokémon may not hold a Leppa Berry and carry Recycle and Fling on its moveset.

• Baton Pass Clause: Only one Pokémon per team may know the move Baton Pass.
• Evasion Clause: The moves Double Team and Minimize are not permitted in play.
• Moody Clause: Pokémon with the ability Moody are not permitted.
• OHKO Clause: A Pokémon may not have the moves Fissure, Guillotine, Horn Drill, or Sheer Cold in its moveset.
• Sleep Clause: Only 1 Pokémon may be put to sleep on the opposing team at a time, if not induced by a move such as Rest.
• Species Clause: Players cannot have two Pokémon with the same Pokédex number on the same team.
