Not everyone can use the pgl, though.
However, everyone can use PGL :p
I tend to check up on it every now and then to see how many Miles it stole from my game lol >.>
I'm at about 100k miles on there, might go on a PGL buying spree. Who knows lol.

Back on topic, I have to counter the Cradily no? That's gonna be a toughy, but I'll fiddle around till I find something.

To answer this:
cradily.gif

Cradily @ Leftovers
Ability: Storm Drain
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Def / 252 SpD
Sassy Nature
- Stealth Rock
- Recover
- Giga Drain
- Rock Slide

Walls him comfortably at +3 and gets the 2 hit switching in for the boost.
I'm gonna use this.

avalugg-2.gif

Avalugg @Leftovers
Own Tempo
Careful Nature
248 HP, 8 Def, 252 Sp. Def.
-Rapid Spin
-Recover
-Avalanche
-Earthquake
Ok so the first thing I thought I would need is something that resists both Rock and Grass moves. Ice came to mind somehow. Then I thought about Ice types that could hit hard and tank both Physical and Special hits (for Giga Drain and Rock Slide). Then Avalugg decided to shine. Avalugg outwalls the Cradily and even has some Recovery of it's own. It can spin off the Stealth Rocks you threw out earlier, and can guarantee and 2HKO with Avalanche, and if it crits then it's a OHKO. I give props to Cradily for being such a great Defensive mon though, but Avalugg plays the Wall game better than it in this case :p

No point walling that; my personal rule when playing is, if ever anything becomes a problem, "smash it with a rock!"

Someone new joins us.
Charizard @ charizardite x
Jolly
Tough claws

Flare blitz, stone edge, dragon claw, dragon dance

Protect just gives me a free turn to setup, then stone edge destroys you.

I'm gonna assume you already boosted your Zard X with Dragon Dance for this one:

malamar.gif

Malamar @Leftovers
Contrary
Impish Nature
4 HP, 252 Atk, 252 Def.
-SuperPower
-Psycho Cut
-Topsy-Turvy
-Night Slash

Your DD means nothing with Topsy Turvy in the house, in turn it begins working against you :sneaky:. Superpower boosts Attack and Defense for Malamar, thanks to Contrary. So in turn, you're weakened and I'm getting free Attack and Defense boosts. Life is great.

Did this without Damage Calc, so I'm not too sure as to how effective this one is, but it's something I thought would be funny on something that got a Dragon Dance or 2 off :p

New? He got here before I did...

Hippowdon @ Leftovers
Ability: Sand Stream
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD
Impish Nature

Malamar is a solid answer to a lot of things but lacks the immediate power to overwhelm that Charx. I'm also not near a calc ATM.

Edit: I mistook the evs for something else, perhaps a slightly different EV spread might do it, losing some atk power for more bulk. The max Def you put might be a game changer there.

Edit x2: I meant immediate bulk, not immediate power.

Doesn't win. Flare blitz takes 95% of that malamar's hp. Even after flipping my attack, you don't have the hp to survive anything else.

  • #110
Doesn't do it well even with more bulk, his limited recovery options keep him back a little so:

Hippowdon @ Leftovers
Ability: Sand Stream
EVs: 252 HP / 144 Def / 112 SpD
Impish Nature

I notice you like to counter charizard with charizard xD

raichu-3.gif

Raichu @Focus Sash
Lightningrod
Timid Nature
4 Atk, 252 Sp. Atk, 252 Spe.
-Fake Out
-Thunderbolt
-Grass Knot
-Focus Blast
I'm very well under the belief that Zard Y can OHKO Raichu with a big Heat Wave under the sun, but that's why I have a Sash. It's simply just first turn Fake Out for the slight damage, then go for the big T-Bolt of destruction. Grass Knot is for scary Ground types (although it doesn't matter since most can tank it), and Focus Blast is for Coverage against Rock types.

Yeet :p
EDIT: Who tf is Focus

Yeah, sometimes when I try to set items, it want to tag someone. Mzard y wins. Max damage from fake out is 11.7%. Max from thunderbolt is 81.4%. That comes out to 93.1%. Then, as you predicted, heat wave kills your raichu with a min damage of 137.1%. You would win if either criticals, thunderbolt causes paralasis and it works on the first turn, or heat wave misses, but the best chance of any of those working is 5%.

Walls your Earthquake. OHKOs with Earthquake.
Damage Calculator results:
252 Atk Life Orb Electivire Earthquake vs. 252 HP / 56+ Def Mega Steelix: 117-138 (33 - 38.9%) -- 99.8% chance to 3HKO
0 Atk Mega Steelix Earthquake vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Electivire: 362-428 (124.3 - 147%) -- guaranteed OHKO
