My favourite type would have to be Ice, at least cool wise. For battles though i'd have to go with... Dark probably.

^^^lucky you dark got a boost this gen, its no longer barred by steels. so you can constantly spam crunch or dark pulse which ever you prefer. oh and yveltal is a monster. oh and ice attacks are great, just not the type itself

Yeah, so some like Spiritomb got a real asset this gen...but then again, Spiritomb kinda got screwed over as Wondertomb strategy (for hackmons on PS!) doesn't work anymore because Fairy type.

yeah and steels got a boost but also a downgrade. they are the ultimate defense anymore. now brozong has an exploitable weakness and metragoss too. they both actually have a two new weaknesses

Steel is still a really good typing to have nonetheless as it resists most types anyway even with the downgrade it had. Also, Mega Aggron will laugh at this anyway with pure Steel typing and Filter

i actually use mega aggron competitively and i can say he is a monster. even fighting attacks have a hard time denting him. he causes alot of problems for unprepared teams, especially with stealth rock thunderwave and dragon tail

Yeah, I mean on top of being a good defensive type and having an ability to support that, it gains massive boosts in its defenses because of the mega form....a force to be reckoned with for sure. It can't learn Gyro Ball though can it?

i actually havent checked that. i tend to use iron head for the flinch chance, because i use t wave with him and also use him on trick room teams. gyron ball would be good on him. tho i dont like the low pp on it, it barely maxes out at 8

Yeah, I don't think he learns Gyro Ball. Kinda sad because he has the low speed for it. And I wouldn't worry about low PP because it won't matter too much in a competitive sense.

i tend to play six on six. here stall can be used effectively. and thats what i use. so pp is a big deal to me cause my battles tend to last over 30 minutes

Ah, yeah I guess Stall can help there and if that's the strategy you're going for definitely don't go for Gyro Ball. Your Iron Head strategy is more suited for that

even though it has many weakness my favorite is the Ice type : it's cold, it is shockingly powerful it is strong against dragon !
If I choose to be a Type I would choose Ice/Flying !

Same here, I also love the Ice type, they always have some cool move sets.

*cough* Freeze Dry *cough* Yeah, there are some really legit Ice type Pokemon out there. It's too bad that they have some terrible weaknesses though

it could be balanced if they become resistant to Grass, Flying and normal types.

TrollFreak would never do that at this rate as they've already screwed with the type effectiveness chart with the addition of Fairy Type; they've had 5 gens of opportunity (and counting) to do so if they wanted to. People were in outrage with the removal of steel resistance to dark and ghost, so I bet adding resistances wouldn't help either. Also, I don't see the logic behind those resistances....

well here it it :
Grass : plants usually don't stand the cold and could do nothing to protect itselfs from it.
Flying : birds migrates to flee from the cold winter.
Normal : Ice is pretty resistent so it can stand some tackles .

I agree with you here it take some time to let players grasp every updated type effectiveness chart!

Those sound more like reasons for supporting the weaknesses each of those types have against ice type rather than supporting a resistance for ice type. For example, water can absorb heat (which explains it's resistance to fire).

Also, the problem with normal is that a couple tackles can chip away ice; it being resistant is more of a matter of not using the right angle and force (which is where the fighting type weakness comes in...)

Yep, my favorite type would have to be Dark too... Yvetal is really cool and his moves are amazing.... Dark / Flying was a really good combination to give Yvetal! But they stopped that thing of always having the legendaries be a Dragon type... :(

actually, there really wasn't a thing for always having legendaries be dragon type. that "thing" only applies to Gen 4 and 5, with all the other gens not having as many dragon type legendaries.
