Probably because Nintendo only made the GameCube controller adapter solely that smash u could be more competitive. I do question why Nintendo won't do it. Probably since they are too lazy or something.
IIRC the application that makes it possible to run GC games on Wii U already supports the GC adapter, so yeah, there's absolutely no excuse for them not to put GC games on the Wii U's VC considering they have the means to, if some hackers can, then Ninty can too and better.

I wonder if Nintendo could make the theme shop use Playcoins (3DS) instead of using money because some theme prices are just expensive like really why is a theme $1.00-$1.99 even if it's just black and white stripes and the only actual fre theme from the eshop is Sonic Boom which very disappointing for U.S. 3DS owners

i hear what you're saying and understand completely, but if nintendo did this they could run out of business (possibly very quickly, unlikely but is worst-case scenario). if that did happen i'd be very unhappy, and so would the members of my trio, as we are all huge nintendo fans.

im not saying the rest of you cant disagree with me; im just stating what i believe would happen if nintendo did this. everyone can think whatever, idc. im just sharing my thoughts. nothing more.

I don't think they will change it. It's one of the ways they get some more money. The only thing they did is giving 3DS themes for Platinum Coins in MyNintendo. I agree, it was really cool if they was giving them for 3DS Play Coins, but they will not do that.

It would be really nice if they released some themes that could be purchased with play coins. Considering that we can get 2 free themes from MyNintendo is really nice though, pretty sure they will release more that we can via that method, although the next theme/set of themes probably wont be released anytime soon x.x

I think that would be better, because I spend almost NO TIME at my home menu which makes it not worth it to but a theme, even if it's cheap. The free themes suck too. But the problem is, what about he people that already spent money on a theme? I dunno a lot about technology but they'd have to refund all those people and I don't know how easy that would be.

This is a really bad idea, it would definitely cost a lot of Play Coins of course. But you can only get 10 Play Coins a day. So it's not really worth it, I guess it would be good idea if you can still have the option to purchase it, because some people want it right away. So I would want it if you could buy them 2 different ways.

Me i am for yes that nintendo should change the theme shop for paying it with play coins because play coins for me i fine it very useless to earn and you can only make 10 per day me i find it useless because you can only use it in playing street quest... if the do that it will be more intresting .But i think the wont do that because all gaming companies their base is not to make people fan but just for money.

That would honestly be a nice way to get themes since they're actually pretty simple. I ended up buying the new Star Fox one though. And the only other theme I have is from buying Super Mystery Dungeon since it came with it. I'd love to be able to get more themes though and I honestly rarely have ever gotten eshop codes. I wanna start getting more, my flow of money just isn't great to do so yet.

Yes, then I won't be continually checking for new free themes and only see Sonic Boom, the theme music is annoying after you here it the first 5 times and the only good thing about it is the animated gears on the bottom, I WANT THE ASHLEY THEME!!!

I would be good for us, but nintendo loves money

On our side of things, it sounds like a good idea. On Nintendo's side of things, it really doesn't. They make themes for sale so they can make money off of it. If they did this, they'd have to make the themes cost at least 200-300 Play Coins so people couldn't farm themes. I think it's a good idea but Nintendo probably doesn't cause they want to make money. They're a business after all.

I think it would be nice. But I bet they would never even think of doing that because they would not want to sacrifice earning money. Just remember, It is hard to come by people that want to do things for you. The world is all about money. Even if you say you are not one of them, and try not to, you can't survive without it. The world needs help, but it won't come the way we have been going.

Of course, it sounds like a good idea, but there are already ways to exploit the steps function in the Nintendo 3DS, and that might prevent this from happening. It would be great though, but I don't think it will happen :p

I hope it doesn't happen. Themes are cheap as they are, companies need money >.>

I doubt Nintendo would ever want to do that with all the themes, since themes are one way Nintendo makes money. They can do that with some specific themes, though. That would actually be a really nice feature! People who cannot buy themes should be able to at least get a few good ones!

Hmm... make money or lose money by making people walk? They already did that with Pokémon go and that is good for them. Sacrificing potential profit for some easy themes isn't a good idea. And you'd have to walk (or cheat) loads every day as the limit is ten a day. I think its a bad idea in general and the idea should be stayed away from.

If they could do that, that would be great. Or, if they could at least sell it cheaper than it already is. Some themes are just overpriced but some people seem to still eat it up.

Yes, Nintendo should make it so you could use 3DS play coins from your home menu to get themes, but just think about it... Nintendo wouldn't do that because they want to get money from it (just like any other company) so if they just made it so you don't have to pay, then nobody is going to pay to get the themes, they will just use their 3DS play coins instead. So basicly, what I am saying is that it would be a good idea, but it probably would never happen (at least in my opinion).

You know, they can start offering themes on My Nintendo for either gold or silver coins to be honest.

About using playcoins, I doubt Nintendo will do that. They would lose money that way.
