That is a LOT of time ! Did you notice some demos erase your data while others save it?

Sonic Dark World is the only example I know of that saved your data after closing...
Yeah. This one saves your data which is a good thing. I tried doing all the quests possible and just exploring a lot, attempting to beat the foes, etc. I really want the full game >.< that's probably why I've spent so much time playing their demos, cause they're so fun xP

Sonic Lost World isn't the only demo that saves your data for once you have the legit game. I believe Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Gates to Infinity did this too

I tried the Mario and Luigi Dream Team demo recently, and kind of made want to purchase the game, because before I was iffy on whether to buy it or not. Of course I definitely delete demos after I'm done. Strangely I have never hit the play limit, I wonder what happens after though?
Yeah, now I really want to purchase that game. The demo was fun, and I want it to track my experience for real. But whenever I remember I never have enough money :(

I play some demos when I get bored but that seems to happen less and less often. I think I've played 12 or 13 different ones. The last one I played but still haven't finished is Bravely Default (I even have one streetpass for it).

I played some, such as Phoenix Wright, Fire Emblem and Bravely Default (and this are worth the time :D)
And deleted Etrian Oddysey, Project X Zone << never enjoyed them
But Im not into demos, since obtaining SMT IV, dont have that much time browsing demos

yeah i always try the demos if there is one - it gives me a vague idea about whats in the game and what you can do :p
i uninstall the ones i don't like and i never play it to the limit :p

I usually play demos when:
a) I'm bored of the games I bought
b) A game looks interesting

Sometimes I even keep demos, even though they're demos, so I can replay the first few levels without having to pay for a game I'll play for 2 minutes and get bored of it. That's at least my case :p

I do download demos, particularly for games that seem to have a good reputation. Geez, Bravely Default's demo lasted me 8 hours and 2 minutes, and it is not much of a block eater. It has no spoilers and it motivated me to buy the game, so you really need to check it out. 8 hours is not less from a demo.

Iv breeding is taking up to much time. And EO is a good series. A bit on the hardcore side though xD Haven't even really gotten past lvl 10 in EO 4.
Sorry for off topic guys, but I didn't like the Etrian Odyssey game that I played on the 3DS, maybe I don't know what to do or because I am horrible at drawing on the 3DS. It is a bit confusing for me, drawing your own map and fighting in a First person perspective.

Yes. It's nice to get a 'feel' for a game before buying it.

Yes, actually a lot of demos now as of 2014, saves you a lot of data, I think the Bravely Default demo does that as well and a few others I've tried. I like the idea, how you can continue it.

I definitely play demos because they really give me a good sense of whether or not a game is right for me. For example, I just recently tried out the demos for Fire Emblem, Bravely Default, and Pheonix Wright. Pheonix Wright had nice graphics and interesting dialogue, but there was next to nothing in terms of actual gameplay. Bravely Default had nice models and an interesting battle system, but was too much of an RPG focused game for me to enjoy. Fire Emblem was a perfect mix of story and strategic gameplay which is why I have decided to get it. Demos really help you pick games that you know you can enjoy.

I've only really tried out the Sonic Lost World demo but there aren't enough demos for the Mario/Pokemon/Zelda games, y'know.

I play Demos a little, just to try out a game, and see if I would buy it. The demos help me choose wether to buy a game or not. I don't play demos a lot, though, since I find it annoying how they limit our times we get to play.

Nah, I played about 4 demos when i first got my 3ds thinking "WOW this is great free stuff!" then after like 2 weeks I figured wow demos are kinda useless.... Haven't got a demo since, I prefer full 3ds games anyways not portions of them. But i'm old school nintendo,so I guess demos would be cool to someone...? Haha LONG LIVE THE GAMEBOY! ;D

So to answer your question; demos are a waste of blocks

You could always play a demo for a couple minutes and then delete it afterwards. Storage management on the 3DS is very simple, so you don't have to worry about demos taking up valuable blocks. I think being able to play with a game gives you a much stronger impression than watching gameplay footage of it online.

Yeah I played demo a lot .. Really think this is a good way to find out a quality of the game .also gaining some valuable experience when played this first before buy one. However it got some limited on how many times you can play it, this limited mostly has in all game that provide demos ,depends there ia a demo that has 30 trials ,some got 5 trials only.. Why put limited, is nintendo really want to get cash from us desperately ... :p

I get demos only if I'm debaiting on whether to get the game or not. For example, I got the Sonic Lost World demo and then I decided I wasn't going to get the game. But I got the smash bros demo because I really wanted to play smash bros. But I always delete the Demos afterwards

well, considering when I first got my 3DS I ate a lot of memory just by downloading every single demo I found I guess you can imagine my stance with it.

I find it a pretty good way to get some impressions on a game. I really think it is a great tool and a way to have fresh content and a bit more variety to pass the time while you buy your next big game.

I have changed my mind about a few of them and I had fun playing most of them. I have yet to finish any demo, I usually end up uninstalling them after a while. I have never tried installing again a demo so I am not sure how would that go: maybe it will retake from the tries I had left or simply it won't let me download or open. No clue. Most Demos have between 7 and 30 tries. Etrian Odyssey IV is the shortests I've downloaded with only 3.

So how about you, do you download and use demos often?
Yes, I do, you need to know how the game will be right.

I like to get demos for different reasons, but basically if it is a new demo I will try it. While they're not the full game, some make a great shorter version of the games that you play from time to time. Bravely Default one got me playing for many days ina row. Not every demo is great, the carnival games is a great example on how not to do demos.

On the other hand, I never caught wind of the Lost World's sonic game... Either it didn't make it to Australia or I really stopped paying attention to demos like a year ago.
