I bet they'll make Hoenn remakes before Pokemon Z though....although that would be assuming they go back to the original pattern :p

No new pokémon remake will be good for Nintendo right now...
With Pokémon X / Y, and if that happens, it would be for early 2015
Yup, I didn't mean to do a remake right away, I agree Pokemon X/Y needs to sell out properly before rushing into another Pokemon game that will steal the limelight from X/Y

What I feel may happen if anything is that they'll announce at E3 2014 about Hoenn Remakes (or sometime before that). I mean, they announced Pokemon X and Y about 6 months after Black 2 and White 2 were released, right?

I can't remember but I think the new Hoenn release (if decided to remastered) will be announced during that e3 or the starting of 2015, Pokemon X/Y still needs some time to breathe at the top of the Pokemon games that was lately released

A extra region DLC would be perfect too for Pokémon X/Y

That would be awesome but I doubt it would happen :(

Well, some pokémons don't have a number or place in the Kalos Pokédex and the train for travel between regions is actually on Luminose City so there's a big chance actually.

@Marc @dilawer
It would be possible?

I think it's more likely to be a set-up for trading with a new region or something like that. It may be teasing Hoenn remakes or something idk

Oh well I had no idea bout that, so that sounds awesome then :) ...It could happen but you never know.

Yep it's possible. Like in HG/SS we had the complete Kanto region in addition to Johto. So, maybe an extra DLC could bring all that but I highly doubt it. Nintendo is not a fool to bring a full-game as a DLC and lose all the money. All Pokes have a number in the National Dex which you'll get once you beat the Elite 4 which I assume you haven't yet.

I am so waiting for another game like Pokemon HeartGold/Soulsilver with two Pokemon regions in one.

What if they do that with Hoenn remakes and add an option to go to Kanto? I mean, technology has changed over the years a bit so from a space perspective it may be possible to combine Kanto and Hoenn into it and thus give a 3rd gen remake in general?

Wait a second.....Emerald allowed players to get a Johto starter. This, and the fact that Mega Lati@s was found in the coding.....HOENN REMAKES CONFIRMED (note: mostly joking here)
That are actually some good facts you've got there. :p Just kidding. xD But Hoenn remakes in Pokemon X and Y graphics would be amazing!

It's perfectly possible. I mean, Mega Lati@s was found in the coding, which could mean that perhaps as a Hoenn event in addition to Soul Dew you have the mega stones, and offering Hoenn would give an opportunity to get closer to completing the set of starters haha

Well Nintendo (and Trollfreak) is either gonna be a total jerk and don't make the remakes, or they're gonna make it awesome.I hoping for second one. I want an awesome announcement.

  • #57
Well it's TrollFreak, so you can never be too sure. But if they confirm Hoenn remakes for 2015, that would mean 10 years after Emerald was released haha

Dang it was released 2005? Time flies by. :p Like I played it yesterday. :) oh, wait... I did :D

Knowing Nintendo, they will use their so called 'logic' and release a new pokemon game even earlier than needed. Nintendo has already released pokemon games within 1 year of each other, what is to say they won't do that again? Pokemon gold and silver was released in NA on October 15th 2000 and in EU on April 6th 2001 but crystal was released in NA on July 29th 2001 and in the EU on November 1st 2001. Crystal may have made some minor changes and fixed glitches from gold and silver but did they seriously need their release dates so close to each other?
