What's your favorite Mario game?

Super Mario Sunshine, it's my all time favorite game. I started playing it at about age 7-8. It was my childhood. I love that game. The graphics are good for a gamecube game, and the story is good. I love the concept and the gameplay. Well, anyone else like Super Mario Sunshine? It's not just my favorite Mario game, but all time video game. :)

You're joking, right? Please tell me you're joking. It was one of the greatest games in all of history. There were like, no glitches, and the music was incredible. The story was great, the graphics were decent, and the mechanics were great! I'm surprised to find someone who hates it! Well, that's your opinion.

WHAT?!?!?

That game is the buggiest game in the Mario series (though admittedly, there's not a ton of them. It just has the most), the story was idiotic and if Mario bothered to point out the fact that the weird paint was already there BEFORE HE ARRIVED, then it would have spared us from this god awful game. Sure, the graphics were good and the mechanics worked, but that means nothing when the game itself is garbage

*ahem* sorry, I get this way when I'm in angry nerd fanboy mode

Super Mario 3d world

the levels, the design, the art and graphics all hit home for me. PS: Sunshine is sometimes underrated though. i mean, it was a great game, despite it being so different, but when is that ever a bad thing? as long as it's good... i mean, Sunshine has got to be the most original Mario game ever made. along with Luigi's Mansion (criminal underrated)

Super Mario Bros. The one and only classic Mario game from the NES is the best Mario game in the world.

My favourite would be Mario and Luigi: Bowsers Inside Story. The storyline is crazy and very funny yet believable enough to give some tension, but much more important: You get to play as Bowser! Aww yiss. Smashing, breathing fire and having your own legion of minions, the whole package. Well, except from getting Peach, then. Did I say there is a fight between giant Bowser and his mechanised godzilla castle? It can't get much better than that. Of course Mario and Luigi get some nice Bros. action too, and you can go shopping and discover an incredible amount of little secrets but in the end, being Bowser is awesome. Except he is slightly stupid every now and then, going for impulsive smashing instead of logic. But ehh that keeps the story funny.

My favoritemario game is New super mario bros for DS because it was one of the first nario games I have ever played and I had really fond memories playing it. The minigames were also as fun as the original adventure itself and if you haven't played this game and your looking for a new classic game to play on your Wii U I reccomend you buy this game on the Wii U eshop.

Hey There just wondering what would be your favorite Mario game I think I almost played every Mario game Nintendo made and it would be nice to know because everyone in my school say mario u (ps Mario spinoff games count to like Mario kart,mario party,etc

I posted this in another thread accidently. But this is what I said:
Mario and luigi, inside bowser's story!
How awesome could it be, to play as BOWSER himself, fighting giant enemies and walk mario and luigi through a bunch of cool mini games that just happen to be inside Bowser's body.

And how heart tearing is it to have to fight 2 characters against each other, after having controlled them the whole game.

This game is a definite side story, which is what makes it stand out, because it's thousands of times better than the same old peach being stolen by bowser. Now she's stolen by some little kid who looks like Melvin from Captain Underpants.

This game is a true work of art, and creativity.

It's funny how it actually quoted nothing because my whole post was a quote.
But that's off topic.
To help you in your decision, super mario sunshine i think is slightly better just because it feels more complete. Double dash is awesome but the multiplayer outside gp seems unfinished after coming back from mario kart 7 and 8 and even ds.

That's my favourite too! Don't you just love being bowser? My favourite part was when he freed his goombas and gave them a speech. Friggin hilarious. :rotfl:

Mines either 64,Galaxy,World,Partners in Time or New Super Mario Bros. DS. Also my first Mario and girst GAME I played was 64. I 100% 64 and DS. Ahh memories.

I think my all time favorite is super Mario bros 3. It might be old, but it was the first game I got for my first console ever, so it has a place in my heart. One of the more modern Mario games I like is Super Mario maker, because I always wanted to design my own levels.

This is a tough question. I would like to say Super Mario 64 DS, since it was my first official Mario game, but I think I enjoyed Super Mario Galaxy more. It's pretty and filled to the brim with content and fun levels. Other than those two, I also loved New Super Mario Bros. and Mario Kart Wii. Mario games are really fun.

My favorite Mario game in the franchise is Super Mario 3D Land. It's like the fun of what Mario has been about in 3 dimensional environments. It's the game that I definitely want even more than The Legend of Legacy. I have no idea why I sold it. I regret it to this day.
